A l’instar des différentes montagnes méditerranéennes et marocaines, La montagne rifaine, qui occupe le Nord du Maroc, présentait, sous des conditions climaciques, une forte résilience face aux chocs externes.
Cependant, elle a été soumise à de grandes mutations socio-économiques lors du XIXème siècle qui ont été à l’origine d’une réelle perturbation de la stabilité de l’écosystème rifain. Cette situation est entrain de s’aggraver par le développement progressif de nouvelles tendances au niveau du climat local.
Toutes ces évolutions combinées, renforcent la dynamique de dégradation des ressources naturelles. Nonobstant, la situation n’est pas irréversible, le Rif ainsi que sa population montrent de bonnes capacités adaptatives.

Abstract: The Moroccan Mountainous Environment in the Test of
the Climate Change (Case of the Rif Mountain)
Like the different Mediterranean and Moroccan Mountains, the
Rif Mountains, which dominates the North of Morocco, had, in terms of
ecological stability, a strong resilience to external shocks. However, these
mountains have been subjected to great socioeconomic shifts during the
XIXth century. Since the beginning, these changes have drastically affected
the stability of the Rif’s ecosystem. This situation is about to be aggravated
by the progressive development of new trends in the local climate. These
evolutions combined are strengthening the dynamics of degradation of the
natural resources. However, the situation is not irreversible; the Rif’s area, as
well as its population, shows good adaptive capacities.

ملخص: الأوساط الجبلية المغربية ومحك التغير المناخي (حالة جبال الريف)
كانت جبال الريف مثل مختلف الجبال المتوسطية والمغربية الواقعة شمال المغرب، تتميز في حالتها الذروية، بقدرة كبيرة على مواجهة الأخطار والصدمات الخارجية. لكنها عرفت مجموعة من التحولات الاجتماعية والاقتصادية منذ القرن التاسع عشر، أدت إلى اختلالات حقيقية في منظومتها الإيكولوجية. وتتفاقم هذه الوضعية حاليا، نتيجة ظهور نزعات جديدة على مستوى مناخ المنطقة. كل هذه التطورات مجتمعة، تزيد من حدة دينامية تدهور الموارد الطبيعية. لكنه على الرغم من ذلک، فإن الوضعية ليست حتمية،
إذ أظهرت منطقة الريف وسكانها عن قدرة كبيرة على التأقلم.
